Peru - Colca Canyon - Day 2 Today we got up early for a sunrise hike, never that exciting in my opinion. Then we headed back to the Condor Cross and saw quite a few trying to find thermals to get altitude.

Peru - Arequipa - Day 3 Today we took tour of the quarries that helped build Arequipa.

Peru - Arequipa - Day 2 Today we walked all over Arequipa. We started with the original stone bridge, then the Cathedral, then the market, and then another convent, Monasterio de Santa Teresa. For lunch we tried a picanteria that @roaksoax recommended in Yanahuara and then to the mirador, with views over the city. Finally in the evening, we went to a rooftop bar for sunset.

Peru - Arequipa - Day 1 Today we took a walking tour of town. It’s amazing. So many Spanish then British and French buildings remain.

Peru - Nazca - Day 2 Today we took the flight over the Nazca lines.

Peru - Nazca - Day 1 Today we left Huacachina for Nazca. We drove through a lot of desert to reach a few green valleys with larger towns.

Peru - Haucachina - Day 2 We started the day visiting three Pisco vineyards.

Peru - Huacachina - Day 1 We took a bus to Ica and explored a bit. Then headed 11 min outside of town to this little oasis. It is really for tourists, so a bit unreal. But we walked up a dune and just watched. A pretty relaxing day.

Peru - Paracas - Day 2 We started the day with a boat tour of the marine wildlife around the big reserve here. The park’s islands were shut because of the winds, but we went to one nearby. We saw lots of birds, sea lions and dolphins. The afternoon we took a bus tour of the reserve, which is a desert, despite being on the Pacific. Very interesting.
