Peru - Nazca - Day 1

Today we left Huacachina for Nazca.

We drove through a lot of desert to reach a few green valleys with larger towns.

We wandered the town and watched an odd religious event with a lot of singing, with nuns dancing with pom poms and giving away bags of potatoes.

In the evening we caught a planetarium show on the Nazca lines and Maria Reiche, the amazing German woman who ‘rediscovered’ them.
