John Muir Trail - Day 8 - Independence to Rae Lakes

So we ended up climbing the pass in just three hours. I don’t know how that happened. It was tough, but fine. I guess going down is harder than I think.
We then reconnected to the JMT and climbed the very vertical Glen Pass.
Now we are at Rae Lakes. It is very pretty and popular. We have a so so pitch right on the middle lake. There are lots of people around us and no toilets or anything, sort of crazy. However, we again chatted with the trail family we would join.
