John Muir Trail - Day 9 - Rae Lakes to Sawmill Trail Turnoff

Stayed Campsite by the Sawmill Trail Turnoff
Travel Walking 19.02 km, 6:03 hours, 572 meters up, 835 meters down

We got up a bit later and hit the trail around 9am. Our goal was the suspension bridge over Woods Creek for lunch and then the last site before The Sawmill Trail turnoff. Leaving a tough climb to Pinchot Pass tomorrow.

We are camped with that trail family we seem to be traveling with; Sam, Mike, Angela and Ernie.

The bridge was wobbly as promised and the site in a nice woods.

We went for a bath in the river. Lovely place.

Oh and then a bear turned up. We made noise and it wandered off, but yikes.
