Haystacks to Grisedale Tarn - Lake District National Park
Today we started with a steep climb up to the top of Haystacks. The views over Buttermere Water are amazing. Innominate Tarn was pretty, but it was actually very boggy, so perhaps it was better to sleep where we did.
From there we walked mostly down to Honnister Slate Mine. At this point we got a bit off track and had to catch a bus to get back to the path.
The walk up to Grisdale was long, but steady. When we arrived, there were already two or three other campers.
It was very pretty and very windy, but our tent help up well.
The only bad thing was the blister I gave myself on the first day was really painful.
