Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440m (11.89km - 6 hrs)
We were awakened by the Indian Army’s Everest expedition’s morning cheer at six am. We had breakfast around seven and then climbed to Namche Bazaar, a Sherpa market town at 3,440 meters.
The walk was fine until we crossed the Hilary Bridge, then it’s very steep to the town.
I think this was my single biggest elevation gain for a day, 2,136 meters up. Now Angela and Robin are visiting the Sherpa Museum. We will check out the town later.
