Travel Train Bullet train from Xi’an to Luoyang
  Walking 11.8 km

We started the morning by climbing the Xi’an wall from the East Gate. We visited one of the giant arrow towers and then walked to a corner.

Originally built in the 14th century by the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty. It is considered the best preserved city wall in China and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With the old portion of downtown Xi’an within and modern buildings lining the outside, the rectangular-shaped city wall is 13.7 kilometers long and completely encloses the old city center.

After the wall, we headed to the Muslim Quarter and visited the Great Mosque. The minaret was a pagoda, which was interesting.

For lunch, we tried a tasty ‘bread soup’. Then, we took our final bullet train to Luoyang. After checking in to our hotel, we walked to the drum tower in the old town and had a delicious hot pot dinner.
