Today we went on a tour of the Sacred Valley. It was pretty amazing to see all the ruins. They were:
- Chinchero - once was the royal estate of Túpac Inca Yupanqui now it is a church with terraces
- Moray - terrace circles to test growing different foods
- Salineras de Maras - salt pans, the water enters the pans already salty from the spring. The pans are just dry it. Each family has 8 to 10 pans.
- Ollantaytambo - a massive Inca fortress where two valleys meet again with farm terraces
- Pisac - small town with loads of grave niches, again a genetic lab of terraces
