Stayed Camp before Tuolumne Meadows
Travel Walking 19.76 km, 6:54 hours, 830.5 meters up, 667.8 meters down

We started the morning with a fairly easy climb up and over Donahue Pass. What we didn’t expect was the very tough down from the pass. It was very rocky with lots of steps and washed out path. Eventually we got to the river meadows at the bottom of Lyell Canyon.

We stopped at the edge of the Tuolumne no camping zone, around Evelyn Lake trail junction. We chatted for a long time with Lois and George, who we met the previous camp.
