John Muir Trail - Day 22 - Roaslie Lake to Rush Creek

Stayed Camped above Rush Creek
Travel Walking 19.76 km, 6:54 hours, 831 meters up, 668 meters down

We got up a little early to do our larger climb before the heat of the day.

We walked down and down and down to the very pretty Shadow Lake and then had to gain all that back going by Garnet, Ruby Emerald and Sapphire Lakes, all of which were beautiful. The final big lake was Thousand Island and the Island Pass.

Now we are camped above Rush Creek, close to Donahue Pass tomorrow and as much of Lyell Canyon that we can do before the Tuolumne restricted area.
