John Muir Trail - Day 4 - Guitar Lake to Wallace Creek

Well, we nearly did a sunrise summit.

It was so noisy with other hikers heading up, we decided to headed out at 4:30am as well. It was a long slog and probably not worth it if the weather isn’t perfect, except for the opportunity to say you did it. And the views aren’t much better than from below.

After getting back to our base at Guitar Lake, seven hours later, we had lunch and took a dip in the lake. Then we hiked to Wallace Creek, another 7 miles, mostly because there wasn’t a water source before.

We are very tired.
