Stayed Long Lake
Travel Walking 9.9 km, 3:34 hours, 343 meters up, 140 meters down

We were picked up at 10am and dropped at the Cottonwood Lakes Trailhead. The road was a mess with crews still cleaning up after the storm last week.

We were hoping to walk to Soldier Lake, but lightning, hail, and rain had us stop at 1pm.

We think there is only one other tent on the lake. It is very pretty and full of wildlife; rabbits, marmots, and chipmunks.

We ate a hot lunch, a cold dinner, and played honeymoon bridge.
