Coast to Coast - Day 1 - St Bees to Ennerdale Bridge

St Bees to Ennerdale Bridge - Lake District National Park

Today we dipped our toes in the Irish Sea and took two small stones to be deposited in the North Sea as is the custom.

We walked up St Bees Head, through Cleator Moor and over Dent Hill.

I gave myself a blister on the first hill and had lots of leg cramps on the back of Dent Hill, I clearly wasn’t drinking enough.

We ate and slept in the garden of the Fox and Hounds Inn.

Shattered but happy.
