Ogumotori-goe (Kumano Nachi Taisha to Koguchi)
Our final day on the Kumano Kodō was lovely. We ended at the Nachi Waterfall, the highest falls (133 meters) in Japan.
After we visited the temple and the falls, where there was a festival, we had to take a bus and a train to Tanabe City, where we were staying for one night on the way to Koyasan.
Tanabe City looks very 1950’s industrial. It didn’t have many tourists either. We walked around a bit and found a yakitori place for dinner. After the chef making two phone calls to a friend that spoke English, Google Translate, and a lot of pointing… we ended up with a nice dinner!
