Pacaymayo to Wiñay Wayna

Today started with another pass and then a very long and very painful down hill.

The good thing was that we passed through many interesting Inka sites and had an excellent lunch above one of them.

It was especially impressive to watch the porters run down the stone steps with a 25kg load. It is also odd to see the 500 other people doing the Inka trail on your day all stop for meals and campsites in the same locations.

The trail crossed from the drier Andean climate to the Amazon cloud forest side with treats and moss that was all in flower.
