Today was an early start.

We had a long drive to get over the Andes and down towards the park.

Once we crossed over the continental divide, the cloud rain forest started.

We frequently stopped and walked along the road to see various birds, butterflies, and monkeys. We also went to a bird hide where there were about ten Coq de Roche birds, the Peruvian national bird.

We stopped at a lodge where it rained overnight for 12 hours. Our huts have screen walls and tin roofs, it was very loud.
