Angela and I got up early and headed to the fish market. It is huge, but only two small boats had landed with a tiny amount of fish. Pretty underwhelming. Then we headed to an junior high school that was destroyed in the 2011 tsunami that was turned into a museum with movies, photographs and the school itself. It was quite moving. Then we drove to Geibikei Gorge and went on a 90 punt up stream. It was lovely, but it isn’t the best time of year for it. Finally we headed to Morioka and walked around the old shopping streets, saw to amazing cherry blossoms at the old castle ruins and ate at the home of Jaja Men ramen. Another fun day.
