Matsushima Bay was lovely and still this morning, but we left early to get to the ferry to ‘Cat Island’ where the 100+ cats outnumber the very aged population of ~50 people. We circumnavigated the island (around 10 km). The west side is mostly cedar forest and the east has two tiny towns of mostly fisher people and seaweed farmers. Owen really loved seeing all the cats. Angela is allergic, so less so. After we got back, we went to very close by Ishinomori Manga Museum. Then we headed further north to Kensenuma, a fishing town.
