Travel Walking 15.27 km, 4:49 hours, 783 meters up, 170 meters down

Today we decided to hike to Minaret Lake and spend the night. We have the time.

To get there you walk the JMT anyway with an extra four mile hike up, off the trail.

The Minarets are volcanic cores and very pointed and rough.

The lake is large and good for a swim.

We have had a great day up here. Let’s hope the wind doesn’t blow the tent down.
