John Muir Trail Day 11

Well, we walked with the tramily again. Sam, Michael, Angela and Ernie. They are all lovely and keep picking the same day plan as us. So we woke at 6am, left near 7am and went over Mather Pass. It was pretty easy up, with excellent switchbacks. But the down to Palisades Lakes was horrible, glad we were down. Then after a nice lunch on the lake, we went down to Palisades Creek via the Golden Staircase. It was endless down. I felt for all the people going up. Well, 12 miles later, we are camped on a little form of the Palisades Creek and I had a lovely swim.
