John Muir Trail - Day 11 - Matther Pass to Palisades Creek

Well, we walked with the tramily again. Sam, Michael, Angela and Ernie. They are all lovely and keep picking the same day plan as us.

So we woke at 6am, left near 7am and went over Mather Pass. It was a pretty easy up, with excellent switchbacks. But the path down to Palisades Lakes was horrible, glad we were going down, not up.

At the bottom we had a nice lunch on the lake, we went down to Palisades Creek via the Golden Staircase. It was endless down. I felt for all the people going up.

12 miles later, we are camped on a little form of the Palisades Creek and I had a lovely swim.
