USA - California - Mammouth - Day 32 - Devil’s Postpile Trail

Today we drove from Las Vegas to Mammoth Lakes, California.

On the way we passed the infamous Area 51 and then across Death Valley National Park. We didn’t really stop here as we had a lot to do stlil.

The first thing was to get our permit at the Easter Sierra Visitor Center. The rangers were very nice, but not to useful for information on the trail. Then we drove to Independence to pickup the carbon fiber bear cans we rented.

Then up to Mammoth Lakes, where we planned to stay for a few days at higher elevation to help acclimatize even more.
