Alston to Brampton
Dawn saved us from about 100 stiles. Instead of the Pennine Way, we took an easier alternative trail, the South Tyne Line that follows the railway line.
The Pennine Way was meant to be a bog and stile filled pain fest.
Nearly every person we know walking the trail did the same.
